We are launching our Mental Health Awareness campaign July 2nd, 2015, and we are very excited about this endeavor.
When I began Find Your Light, I never would have imagined that it would come to mean to me as much as it has; It has become not only an outlet, but a passion and now, a cause: Providing mental health awareness and peer support all across Atlantic Canada and beyond!
Our team has expanded, and we are now working hard to spread the word of our cause, our mission, and our goals to minimize mental health stigma within our communities.
Our Awareness Campaign will consist of booths set up at our respective Moncton and Halifax Seaport Markets, word of mouth awareness, Find Your Light Awareness bracelets, which you can find here, seminars throughout Atlantic Canada, and one very special campaign that I am very, very excited about....
We are introducing our Inspire! line of jewelry as part of our Awareness Campaign. Inspire! is comprised of a series of dainty bracelets and necklaces that correspond with a quote that has impacted my recovery in huge ways: Each quote has been selected, and each piece has been designed, to help "Inspire!" confidence, hope and wellness.
The phenomenal thing about our Inspire! line is that we are funding as many bursaries as possible for High School and Graduate Students who cannot afford their University and Program application fees! In fact, where 50% of the proceeds from our Inspire! line are going back into our Awareness Campaign, the other 50% are going into our Inspire! Bursary Fund. Our goal is to fund at least one student in each Atlantic Province for next year- This sometimes means hundreds and hundreds of dollars per student, as application fees can add up quickly, and are generally costly.
The Inspire! line will be available to the public in July 2015, however! You can gain early access to the line and stock up on your favorite select items from our collection- These pieces will rotate and some may not always be available: So, how do I gain early access?
Donate any denomination to kickstart our Inspire! Bursary fund, and you will gain early access to the line as of June 1st, 2015. If you are in the Halifax or Moncton area, you can email us on how to donate at whoturnedoffmylight@hotmail.com OR you can visit our Etsy Shop.
Once you have made your donation, you may place your order, which will be listed as a private/reserved listing especially for you!
